Dermatologists have known for many years that a category of chemicals called AHAs or “Alpha-hydroxy Acids” promotes exfoliation in your skin, evening out skin color and reducing fine lines, making AHA-containing products into effective anti-wrinkle cream, improving skin texture and tone, and reducing splotchiness of skin color.
The AHA that penetrates into the skin the most easily is Glycolic Acid, the smallest molecule among the AHAs.
