Big River Silk Skincare's GlycoShea Creams as Anti-wrinkle Creams
The GlycoShea® Creams contain an anti-wrinkle chemical called Glycolic Acid, what’s called an AHA or Alpha-Hydroxy Acid. Glycolic Acid is the ingredient which helps these creams to even out the color of your skin, and to smooth the appearance of fine lines. They’re now available not only in Tennessee but also nationally, through Big River Silk Skincare Inc.. of which I as a Dermatologist became the President in 2016.
Let’s take a look into what makes these creams effective as anti-wrinkle creams, helping to reverse premature aging of the skin, and what’s organic about them?
The key ingredient of the GlycoShea Creams, Glycolic Acid, was originally discovered in fruits, such as pineapple, and in sugarcane. Glycolic Acid actually works by promoting what’s called skin exfoliation, meaning that it helps the older, dead skin cells to be released from the skin surface, allowing newer cells to come in from the deeper layers of the skin. The result is more even color in the skin, and an improvement in skin texture and tone, making them into anti-wrinkle creams.
The GlycoShea Creams are “organic” because they incorporate carbon atoms, particularly through their Shea Butter, which comes from an African tree – the Shea Tree. Shea nuts have been used by the peoples of the Sahel region of Africa as both a moisturizer and a foodstuff for hundreds of years, so they have a long safety track record. All Shea nuts come from naturally-occurring Shea trees, some of which are over 100 years old, since Shea trees have never been successfully grown in farms.
GlycoShea Facial&Neck Cream, GlycoShea Hand&Body Cream/Standard Strength, and GlycoShea Hand&Body Cream/High Strength also incorporate some of the purest natural water in the United States, water from the Memphis Aquifer. Big River Silk Skincare Inc. blends these ingredients with care, the result being emulsions.
The GlycoShea Creams are remarkable not only for what they do contain, but also for what they do not contain: no fragrances, dyes, sulfates, propylene glycol, and no formaldehyde nor parabens. And Big River Silk Skincare’s Dermatologists designed the GlycoShea Creams to be hypoallergenic, meaning minimal risk of dermatitis to people with sensitive skin.
And the good news is that Big River Silk Skincare’s GlycoShea Creams are now available for pick-up at our company headquarters at 8143 Walnut Grove Road, Cordova TN 38018, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (901-753-0168). We use purified Tennessee soybean oil blended with Memphis Sands water, with only mild preservatives, and no propylene glycol nor formadehyde.
AmberSoy is one of the few soap gels commercially available in the United States, allowing users to obtain a very deep clean. It can be used as a simple cleanser, or as a “face and neck mask,” whereby it’s applied, then left one for 3-5 minutes, before rinsing. AmberSoy is available in Mint, in Lemon, and in No Fragrance Added. 1 oz: $12.95/2 oz: $18.95/8 oz: $59.95.
Big River Silk Skincare also offers several ‘skincare kits,’ to help people with need for a moisturizer, a cleanser, and a mild cream that can be used on lips. Check us out at www.Bigriversilkskincare.com.
And don’t forget the sunscreen! Big River Silk Skincare distributes Vanicream® Sunscreen Sport SPF 35, with zinc oxide, and free of dyes, fragrance, propylene glycol, and sulfates. It’s a nice sunscreen being “broad-spectrum,” meaning it protects from both the traditional UVB and the more-recently appreciated dangerous UVA rays, and it’s less likely to migrate into people’s eyes.
