GlycoShea Creams for Smooth Skin
The GlycoShea® Creams combine the anti-wrinkle properties of an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) called Glycolic Acid with the moisturizing properties of Shea Butter, a natural product of the Shea Tree. These moisturizer creams are a blend or emulsion of these two ingredients with some of the purest natural water in the United States, from the Memphis Sands, the goal being to help skin remain resilient.
Board-certified Dermatologists in the Woodbury family spent 55 years designing and developing GlycoShea Facial&Neck Cream, GlycoShea Hand&Body Cream/Standard Strength, and GlycoShea Hand&Body Cream/High Strength. They’re now available not only in Tennessee but also nationally, through Big River Silk Skincare Inc., of which I became the President, after practicing Dermatology for 25 years.
So let’s take a look into what makes these creams effective as anti-wrinkle creams, helping to reverse premature aging of the skin.
First, let’s look into their origins. The GlycoShea Creams are both natural and organic, because their key ingredient, Glycolic Acid, was originally discovered in fruits, such as pineapple, and in sugarcane.
Glycolic Acid works by promoting what’s called skin exfoliation, meaning that it helps the older, dead skin cells to be released from the skin surface, allowing newer cells to take their place. The result is more even color in the skin, and a smoothing of the appearance of fine lines in the skin, enabling them to be anti-wrinkle creams.
The GlycoShea Creams also incorporate Shea Butter. Shea Butter is called a “butter,” but it actually comes not from an animal but from the Shea Tree of Africa. Shea nuts have been used by the peoples of the Sahel region of Africa as both a moisturizer and a foodstuff for hundreds of years, making a long safety track record.
The GlycoShea Creams are remarkable not only for what they do contain, but also for what they do not contain. They do not contain fragrances, and they don’t have dyes. They’re free of sulfates, of propylene glycol, and of parabens. They have no formaldehyde. In effect, our Dermatologists designed them to be hypoallergenic, with minimal risk to people with sensitive skin.
In sum, the GlycoShea Creams have the good ingredients – the Glycolic Acid, the refined Shea Butter, and the Memphis Aquifer water – and they avoid problematic ingredients high-risk preservatives and mixing chemicals (emulsifiers).
